Music Ed Services

The ACA Band is one of the largest K-8 school band programs in the Diocese of Orlando, as well as one of the finest.  We have three bands: Beginning Band, Advanced Band, and Stage Band.

Beginning Band and Advanced Band meet twice a week after school, and Stage Band meets once a week after Advanced Band.

Bands

Beginning Band

Beginning Band meets on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00, and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:15 in the ACA Music Room.  Students do not need any band experience to enroll in this class.  We teach these students how to play the instrument of their choice from the very beginning.

Advanced Band

Advanced Band meets on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4:15, and Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 in the ACA Music Room.  Students must have one year of Beginning Band, or the equivalent in private instruction, in order to enroll in the Advanced Band.  The Advanced Band plays mainly "concert band" arrangements.

Stage Band

Stage Band meets on Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:15 (after Advanced Band).  Entrance is by audition or personal invitation of band director only.  The Stage Band plays contemporary music and includes a rhythm section, a horn line, and vocalists.

Band Tuition

Beginning Band - $250 per semester

Advanced Band - $250 per semester

Stage Band - $100 per semester

* 1st semester covers August through December, and 2nd semester covers January through May.  Please make checks payable to ACA (marked Band).

Instrument Rentals

Our instrument rentals are done through Allegro Music Centre.

Band Uniforms

Beginning & Advanced Bands - white dress shirts, black pants or skirts, black shoes, and royal blue bow tie & cummerbund.  Bow tie & cummerbund sets are ordered at the beginning of the school year and can be purchased when they arrive.  Cost of set is $12.

Stage Band - royal blue ACA Stage Band polo shirts.  They are ordered at the beginning of the school year and are available for purchase upon arrival.  Cost of shirt is $20.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011 - first day of Advanced Band & Stage Band.  Band tuition due for those students.

Thursday, August 25, 2011 - Beginning Band Orientation at 7PM in the cafetorium.  This will also be Stage Band's first performance (just one song).

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - first day of Beginning Band.  Beginning Band tuition due.

Thursday, December 15, 2011 - Winter Band Concert at 7PM in the cafetorium.

Thursday, May 17, 2012 - Spring Band Concert at 7PM in the cafetorium.
